Welcome to Mi Familia Vota, a national nonprofit organization empowering Latino communities through civic participation. Our mission is to build Latino political power by advocating for policies that improve the lives of our community, educating and mobilizing voters, and training the next generation of leaders. At Mi Familia Vota, we believe that change starts with you, and we invite you to join our causes and make your voice heard. Whether you're passionate about immigration reform, social justice, healthcare, or the environment, we offer a platform for you to engage and make a real impact. Remember to register to vote and make your voice count! Tu voto es tu voz.

AZ Priorities

Arizona holds considerable voter engagement potential, primarily influenced by its evolving demographics and political landscape. With a growing population, especially among Hispanic and Latino communities, an opportunity exists to engage and register many new voters. In 2024, Mi Familia Vota Education Fund (MFVEF) Arizona aims to cultivate a significant civic cultural shift, fostering an engaged and participatory electorate within Arizona’s Latino community.

AZ Programs

Expand the Electorate:

At our organization, we are dedicated to promoting civic engagement and participation among the community. One of the ways we do this is by offering programs to help eligible US residents become US citizens, register voters, and educate individuals about the importance of civic participation. Our community sessions and weekly presses at the Mexican Consulate offices in Phoenix provide accessible resources and information for those looking to get involved. We are committed to empowering our community through education and outreach, and we believe that every voice matters in shaping our democracy.

Our programs include various activities that aim to empower and engage our community. One such activity is our all-Spanish day at the capital, where community members can gain insight into how state government functions and learn effective ways to communicate and collaborate with their representatives to address the issues that matter most to them. Through our power-building initiatives, we strive to create a more informed and active citizenry that is equipped to shape the future of our community.

Our multi-layered voter mobilization program does strategic targeted outreach to thousands of Latino voters. Every election, whether local, state, or federal, our teams are on the ground, at the doors, and on the phone having the necessary conversations that help get Latino voters to the polls. Mi Familia Vota prides itself in having the largest field infrastructure in the Latino community that turns out voters each election. Our electoral participation power is deciding the outcomes of elections.

Youth Development Program:

One of our programs is the annual Civic Engagement Leadership Summit, which takes place across the state. In addition, we are excited to launch our inaugural Cohort of the Democracy Fellowship in 2024. These programs provide opportunities for young leaders to network, learn, and develop the skills they need to make a positive impact in their communities and beyond.

Advocacy:

Our advocacy program empowers community members to advocate effectively for key policy issues. We accomplish this by hosting educational opportunities where individuals can learn about important policy priorities and the best ways to advocate for them. Through these efforts, we hope to make a meaningful impact in advancing our policy goals and creating positive change in our communities.
