Voz en Acción is a Mi Familia en Acción public education campaign empowering Latino working families with the facts, rights, and civic tools needed to hold leaders accountable and defend our communities.

Arizona families are working hard every day, but rising costs and aggressive enforcement policies are placing unprecedented pressure on household budgets and neighborhood safety. Floridians deserve clear, accurate information about the policies affecting their lives and the specific role the government plays in making those decisions.

Only by exercising our rights can we protect them. Nuestra comunidad merece mucho mejor.

Issues Impacting Our Community

Everyday essentials are slipping out of reach. From la carne asada and gasoline to housing and healthcare, working families feel the squeeze of inflated prices every single day.

  • Rising Grocery Bills: Americans are facing the sharpest increase in grocery prices in 50 years.
  • Healthcare Under Attack: More than 10 million Americans face losing health coverage.
  • Economic Stability: Affordability isn't just about a single bill—it determines whether working families can meet their basic needs while retaining enough to save, respond to emergencies, or invest in their future.
  • Government Accountability: Decisions made at the federal, state, and local levels directly dictate taxes, healthcare programs, housing, energy policy, and working-family support.

Understanding who makes these decisions is the first step in holding them accountable.

  • Keeping your home safe and comfortable is a basic necessity. But for many Arizona families, electricity bills can account for a significant portion of the household budget.
  • Utility bills are skyrocketing. Whether it's turning on the AC in the summer or the heat in the winter, families are paying record-high prices just to keep their homes comfortable.
  • High energy costs are no accident; they are the result of politicians protecting massive energy corporations that inflate prices to boost their own bottom lines.
  • Despite community outcry, the Arizona Corporation Commission is allowing APS to impose a 14 percent rate hike for electricity.
  • Communities deserve to understand how electricity rates are determined, who regulates utility companies, why rates change, and how residents can make their voices heard when decisions affecting their utility bills are being considered.
  • More than 10 million Americans are losing health care coverage because of Donald Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill, which slashed the social safety net and slashed critical food and nutrition support to pay for ICE detention and to give tax breaks to billionaires. Ciscomani voted for it. The results?
    • Eight rural hospitals in Arizona are in danger of closing or reducing services.
    • Arizonans have been hit particularly hard with nearly half of SNAP recipients losing benefits.
    • Over 121,000 Arizonans have lost healthcare coverage.

The current administration said he would go after the worst, after criminals. Instead, his ICE operations are out of control and indiscriminately targeting our communities based on how we look or sound.

Immigration policies have immediate, human consequences across Arizona. Immigrants are our neighbors, coworkers, small-business owners, parents, students, and vital community members.

  • While ICE goes after the wrong people, its aggressive enforcement is destabilizing neighborhoods without basic oversight or accountability.
  • Indiscriminate enforcement leaves families fearing separation, workers hesitant to go to job sites, and parents anxious about taking their children to school or seeking medical care.

How We Build Power

Holding elected officials and public leaders accountable is the cornerstone of a healthy democracy.

The decisions being made today will shape what families pay for groceries and healthcare, how Colorado handles rising energy costs, and how immigration policies are carried out in our neighborhoods.

Turning out as informed, empowered voters sends an unmistakable message.

Our vote is our voice, and it is needed now more than ever.Votar con propósito comienza con estar informados. Nuestra voz y nuestro poder se fortalecen cuando todos participamos en la democracia.

Information is power, and every family deserves access to reliable information.
