Phoenix, AZ - Our press conference set for Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at the Arizona Corporation Commission (ACC), originally planned to uplift community voices against the APS rate hike, is being postponed to December 3, 2025 so we can stand in solidarity with Tucson residents fighting the approval of a massive new data center. These struggles are connected: while families across Arizona face rising energy bills, corporations are pushing high-consumption projects that will strain our grid and drive rates even higher.

Data centers require enormous amounts of electricity and water, especially harmful in the desert. When utilities build new infrastructure to serve corporate demand, those costs are often passed on to everyday people through rate hikes like the one APS is proposing. Working families should not be forced to subsidize corporate expansion while they struggle to keep their homes cool and their bills manageable.

We stand united with communities from Phoenix to Tucson demanding that the ACC protect ratepayers, our water, and our long-term energy future. We will continue to fight for affordable, clean, and community-centered energy solutions and ensure that the voices of those most affected by rising costs are heard.
