Born in Maracaibo, Venezuela, Sikiu moved to Georgia in 2019, searching for the peace and stability a country with a democratic process can bring and to provide a better future for her daughter.

She has a master’s degree in political science and international business from Universidad Internacional de Andalucía in Andalucia, Spain  and a bachelor’s in political science from her hometown’s Universidad Rafael Urdaneta.

After various jobs in the Atlanta Metro area, Sikiu began her work at MFV as a canvasser. This opportunity allowed her to reconnect with her passion of helping others and being involved in politics.

Sikiu facilitates SYCLAC, our civic education program for Spanish-dominant speakers, and plays a crucial role in leading our voter engagement efforts, including voter registration and electoral field programs.
