Mi Familia Vota Joins Forces With Gaby Pacheco For Event On Citizenship
Homestead, FL – As part of Mi Familia Vota Florida’s citizenship and civic engagement programs, and out of solidarity with the immigrant community in our fight against SB 1718, we are joining with Gaby Pacheco on an event celebrating the dream of citizenship. We know that when our community is engaged in the civic process, we can create a country of opportunity for everyone.
When: July 4th, 2023, from 11 AM to 2 PM
Where: Schnebly Winery, 30205 SW 217th Ave, Homestead, FL 33030
Why: To learn about how to apply for citizenship and to celebrate the extraordinary journey of resilience, determination, and triumph of Gaby Pacheco.
What: The event will be filled with heartfelt speeches, inspiring stories, and a vibrant atmosphere of unity. So, don your best red, white, and blue attire, and join us in commemorating Gaby Pacheco’s incredible journey from undocumented to a citizen.
BACKGROUND: After decades of unwavering dedication, Gaby Pacheco has reached a significant milestone in her life: becoming a citizen of the United States. Her story is one of incredible perseverance, starting from being undocumented, navigating the challenges of the DACA program, and eventually obtaining a green card. Despite facing the imminent threat of deportation, Gaby’s determination led her to embark on a remarkable journey—walking from Miami to Washington, D.C.—to advocate for immigrant rights.
Join us in community and learn from Gaby Pacheco and the countless others who have overcome obstacles to live their American dreams.
