We Decide 2024: Empowering Our Communities!
Join us in the fight for fair immigration policies! The We Decide 2024 campaign, launched by Mi Familia Vota and Workers United (SEIU), is mobilizing infrequent voters of color in Arizona’s 6th Congressional District. Together, we’ll elect leaders who value our communities and support humane immigration policies.
🔍 Why This Matters: Infrequent voters of color hold the power to sway elections, yet they often lack the resources to participate. We’ll use texting, phone banking, and community events to create a supportive network that amplifies our voices!
Our Goals:
- Advocate for leaders who prioritize humane immigration policies.
- Ensure that every family stays together.
- Counter anti-immigrant rhetoric and uplift our voices in the electoral process.
This initiative is part of We Decide 2024, a broader effort backed by the two million-member Service Employees InternationalUnion, SEIU, in key swing districts, working towards a positive election outcome for this November.
“At Mi Familia Vota, we believe that the strength of our community lies in the unity of our families. Immigration is not just a policy issue; it’s a personal matter that affects people’s daily lives. As we launch the We Decide 2024 campaign, our mission is clear: to engage every voter in our community and ensure Latinx and BIPOC voices are heard at the polls. We are fighting for leaders who will champion fair and humane immigration policies because we know that keeping families together is a priority for our Latino community,” said Monica Sandschafer, Arizona State Director, Mi Familia Vota.
“We Decide 2024 is part of a national campaign to engage and empower infrequent voters of color in key House races to elect leaders who will be champions of humane immigration policy and fight back against the wave of anti-immigrant laws sweeping the country. It’s part of SEIU’s historic $200M investment — the union’s largest-ever commitment to mobilize working people and elect worker champions up and down the ballot," said Nicieli Marques, lead organizer for Workers United-SEIU in Arizona.
Get Involved! Volunteer for outreach efforts, attend community events, and spread the word! Every vote counts, and your engagement can drive real change in immigration policy and more.
Together, we support leaders who stand with us, not those who create divisions. Let’s work towards a just and inclusive society!
