Asucena was born in Mexicali, Mexico.  At the young age of six months old she immigrated to California with her parents, three brothers, and four sisters.  In 1999 she obtained her US Citizenship and became a registered voter.

In 2008, she moved to Phoenix, Arizona and began her career in Accounting.  She has experience working for the State of Arizona as well as working with Arizona Industries for the Blind, a non-profit organization.

Asucena has background in Payroll, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable.  She joined Mi Familia Vota in 2022 and is excited to be a part of an organization that empowers the Latino community.

Outside of work she enjoys baking, traveling, and spending time with family.
