Background on the AFT Election Bus Tour:

The AFT launched its nationwide Get-Out-The-Vote election bus tour on Labor Day, with plans to visit at least 20 states by Election Day. AFT President Randi Weingarten has emphasized the critical nature of this election, stating, “This election is about whether we build a new future of opportunity and economic dignity or get dragged back to a dystopia ruled by chaos, fear, and hate. It’s about promoting the common good and recognizing that the strength of our nation lies in caring for each other and lifting everyone up.”

The #AFTvotes bus tour will spotlight candidates who support an inspiring vision for America’s future, one that values economic opportunity, freedom, and inclusivity. Key policy issues include investing in public education, making college affordable, ensuring access to housing and healthcare, fighting price gouging, lowering prescription drug costs, supporting childcare affordability, and strengthening Social Security and Medicare.

With early voting just around the corner, this event underscores the importance of civic participation and the impact of every vote. We look forward to seeing you there as we make a significant difference together!
